What are you getting?
---------------------
OSCAR is a disk utility that allows the user to view BOTH the Source
and Destination Directories for puposes of:
* Erasing Files
* Copying Files
* Moving Files
* Viewing/Editing Files (User supplied.)
* Renaming Directories or Files
* Creating new Directories
* Setting File Attributes
* Running (Exec) BAT, EXE and COM Files
* Shell to DOS in current Directory
* Sorting Directories by Name, Extension, or Size
* Wild Card Marking files for action
* Wild Card UnMarking files
"So What!", you're saying,
"It's just another 'Tree' clone!"
Sure, OSCAR will do what those other guy's programs will do...
However, do they show you BOTH your Source and Destination Directories
and give you an update on free space on BOTH Directories BEFORE
you take action on ANY files at a glance?
I haven't see one yet! I can assure you if there was one I wouldn't
have spent the long gruelling hours pecking on this plastic keyboard to
develop this program (OSCAR).
I hope you find OSCAR v1.04 to be as easy to use and powerful as I have
and will want to help support it by registering it and/or responding back
to me (good or bad!) on what you think of it so I can make it even better.
Well, enough of the SSsooft... sale. HOW DO WE GET IT!!?
How to get it!
--------------
Although OSCAR is easy to use you should print out the manual and
browse thru it to get a feel of how OSCAR works and what it's limitations
are. Especially read the section on Setup!
********************
TO PRINT THE MANUAL:
********************
1) Make sure your distribution diskette is in the drive (A: or B:).
2) Log into that drive by typing 'A:' or 'B:' without the
quotes and strike return.
3) Make sure your printer is "On-Line".
4) Type 'MANUAL' without the quotes at the drive prompt and
strike return.
5) At this time the manual should begin printing.
********************************
TO INSTALL OSCAR ON A HARD DRIVE
********************************
I've included a utility (OSCARHDI.COM) to make installation of OSCAR on
your Hard Drive easy. If you don't have the utility or you decide not to
use it, consult the manual on "Getting Started" for the steps required for
proper installation.
If you have the utility and wish to use it take the following steps:
1) Make sure your distribution diskette is in the drive (A: or B:)
2) Log into that drive by typing 'A:' or 'B:' without the
quotes and strike return.
3) Type 'OSCARHDI' without the quotes (of course) and strike
return. This will start the installation program.
******************
TO REGISTER OSCAR:
******************
1) Make sure your distribution diskette is in the drive (A: or B:)
2) Log into that drive by typing 'A:' or 'B:' without the
quotes and strike return.
3) Make sure your printer is "On-Line".
4) Type 'REGISTER' without the quotes at the drive prompt and
strike return.
5) At this time the invoice should begin printing.
6) Fill out the form and send it with your registration to me!
